5/15- Video Performance Art- Experience the process of creating video performance art with storyboarding, costume design and filming.
5/22- Classical Pinch Pots- Design your own classically inspired clay pot.
5/29- Light Sculpture- Combine art with science to design a light sculpture that really works!
June
6/5- Printmaking Patterns- Create original prints, drawing inspiration from the patterns in the architecture of the museum and the downtown area.
6/12- Urban Life Sun Prints- Fashion a portrait of yourself in the city using the sun as your camera!
6/19- Multimedia Landscapes- Juxtapose organic and traditional art materials to create a Dough Aitken-inspired landscape.
6/26- Red Figure Storytelling Vessels- Design a red figure paper vessel that narrates a story.
July
7/10- Design Your Own Playground- Be inspired by a day at the park and design your own playground.
7/17- Action Painting- Have fun exploring the action of painting like the artist Sam Francis.
7/24- City Collage- Cut, glue and create your own city.
7/31-Fabric Painting- Make bright and colorful fabric paintings inspired by the artist Sam Gilliam.
August
8/7- Abstract Self-Portrait Prints- Create an abstract self-portrait print using bright colors and unique printing materials.
8/14- Impressionist Style Painting- Paint like an Impressionist with deliberate brushstrokes that capture the sunlight on the landscape.
8/21- Classically Inspired Mosaics- Piece together a colorful tile mosaic like those found in Ancient Greece.
