Group Visits & Tours

Adult/Group Tours
Each year, approximately 7,000 people visit the Tampa Museum of Art on Docent led tours. Whether visiting TMA to view a current special exhibition, or to enjoy works of art from the museum’s permanent collection, a Docent-led (guided) tour can be arranged for any group visit.  A one-hour highlight tour of all museum galleries is available upon request. Tours must be scheduled in advance of a visit to the museum. Lunch may be arranged through the Sono Cafe.

School Tours
More than 5,000 students visit the Tampa Museum of Art on school tours each year. Docent-led tours focus on connecting students with the museum’s collections and inspiring an understanding and appreciation of the visual arts. Students are encouraged to use critical thinking and viewing skills to connect with the art in the collection and to discover how it relates to their studies and their own life experiences.

Professors & College Students
College and university faculty are encouraged to bring their classes to the Tampa Museum of Art. Faculty may teach in the galleries or schedule a Docent-led tour for their class. Museum tours and gallery class discussions must be scheduled two weeks in advance of a visit.
